Join us for an escorted photography holiday. Our Photography Holidays have been created for photo enthusiasts visiting the South of France for a short time. These tours are a unique way to discover the most photogenic locations off the beaten track. Let us take care of details and enjoy a stress-free vacation.  Bring your camera or smart phone and just enjoy while we take care of the details.

Two day photo excursions are only €1000 for one person or €1200 for two (based on double occupancy). Includes 3 nights stay at Maison des Rêves, 3 breakfasts and a welcome dinner. Plus two full days of transportation to selected locations and 1 photography guide.

About the Area

Medieval History: 
Visit the Cathar sites Lastours, Minerve, or Carcassonne to discover local culture, history, language and history.

Biking
Explore the medieval hilltop villages, vineyards, and cherry groves by bike and picnic by a waterfall.  We will provide bikes, basket, a map and a picnic if you like for your adventure. 

Kayaking
Kayak down the Orb River and explore the lovely medieval village of Roquebrun.  Don’t forget a waterproof camera! 

Hiking: 
Take a photographic hike!  The beautiful Gorges d’Héric in the heart of the “Parc Naturel Régional du Haut-Languedoc” are well worth a visit. Perfect for a dip in the river Orb and the naturally formed rock pools. To round off the day, you will find plenty of wonderful places to spread your picnic blanket.  At the end of this amazing experience we can stop for a cool glass of rosé with tapas, and enjoy live music and dancing. Not to be missed!

Explore the subterranean world: 
Visit honeycombed caves and caverns that one of the richest areas of in France. Known as the 'Palace of the Glass Filaments', our local grotto cave system is one of the most beautiful in France. It contains an astonishing variety of smooth, delicate formations. Stroll through the labyrinth of halls and galleries, up flights of steps and along lighted passages. These caves contain narrow passages and vast chambers with stunning colors, sometimes lakes and rivers. There are extraordinary shapes that seem to be sculpted from rock.  Capture images of a world seldom seen.

Immerse yourself in local market life: 
Enjoy a relaxing, peaceful slice of French life and explore the bustling morning markets.  Try the fresh local produce, cheese, or oysters with Languedoc white wine.  You won’t be disappointed!  You’ll be able to capture the charm of small rural French countryside in your photo journey.  This is a perfect place to pick up souvenirs as well!

Wineries:  
Wine wine and more wine!  Occitanie is one of the world’s most exciting wine regions, and there’s no better way to get a taste for the wines here than to go on a wine tour. Enjoy the day sampling wines and taking photos as we escort you to two different wine domains, with a delicious lunch in between. Talk to the wine makers, get a tour of their facilities and, of course, taste lots of wines.  What would a photography trip to France be without photos of the vineyards and the fabulous local wines?

Now is your chance to start your days with a croissant from a local bakery and finish them dining al fresco overlooking the Regional Natural Park of Haut-Languedoc.  Enjoy a luxurious midnight swim under the full moon or marvel at the thousands of stars that you can almost touch.  We take care of all the details, once you arrive at Maison des Rêves, you don’t need to think about where to go, how to get there or where to stay during our time together. Just show up and be ready to have fun and make great images as you truly experience the magic of the real south of France.
